Brodsky also heaped praise on Melissa for the ‘support and care’ she offered his daughters, before explaining that the frustrated fella was ‘asked to leave the store’ by the police officers.
“As a dad with two little girls, I made the decision that I felt was best in the moment,” he added. “I also want to be clear about something – I don’t support anyone harassing, threatening or contacting anyone involved.
“I’m simply sharing what happened to my family and I hope the man that did this will come across this video and realise what he did was wrong and not do it to anyone else.”
Despite Brodsky taking the high road, it appears that the man who confronted him is now facing some career-related consequences for calling the dad out.
Overstreet Properties, a real estate firm based in Mississippi, shared an Instagram post explaining that he was an independent contractor for them – but they have since cut ties with him.

In a short statement shared on Wednesday (17 June), the company said: “Overstreet Properties is aware of videos circulating on social media depicting conduct by a former independent contractor during a personal trip that was unrelated to our company.
“The conduct depicted in the video does not reflect the values of Overstreet Properties or the standards we expect of those who represent our organisation.
“Our focus remains on providing quality service to our clients, partners, and community. The individual depicted in the video is no longer associated with Overstreet Properties.”
In another video shared to his TikTok, Brodsky urged people to ‘please stop leaving negative reviews or harassing businesses that had nothing to do with what happened’.
He also announced that he has since launched a GoFundMe page after being encouraged to do so by social media users.
According to the fundraiser, the money will go towards his travel expenses to help him commute to see his daughters, while he also intends to share a chunk with Melissa ‘in appreciation for everything she did’.
Brodsky added: “Most importantly, I hope the outcome of all of this is bigger than one viral video. My hope is that more businesses consider adding family restrooms so parents have a safe, private place to care for their children. If that conversation leads to positive change, then something good came from all of this.”
