An energy that is slowly running out of steam
Your dog, once tireless, now prefers naps to walk? This is often one of the first signs of aging. The long courses behind the ball turn into small towers of the garden, and the naps lengthen. This slowdown is not necessarily synonymous with disease, but it deserves a benevolent attention: a suitable rhythm, shorter outings, and especially a lot of tenderness.
Confusing behavioral changes
Some dogs become surprisingly cuddly, others seek loneliness. This reversal of personality may surprise, but it often reflects a need for calm. If your companion seems more anxious, disoriented or irritable, it should not scold him: he goes through a period where his landmarks change. Your patience and presence will be his best supporters.
