Diddy Placed in Solitary — Again — After Report of Massages, Contraband Cellphone and Premium Cognac Behind Bars

According to the source, Combs was placed in solitary confinement in response to a bombshell report by NBC News that said Combs has spent thousands of dollars a month to live a more pampered lifestyle during his prison sentence.

Combs was seen using a contraband phone to look at Instagram and sexually explicit photos that a former girlfriend sent him, a source close to Combs confirmed to PEOPLE. He allegedly has a “jailbroken” tablet, which he uses to watch movies and documentaries, including the Netflix docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning, NBC News reported.

Men allegedly cook special meals and clean for him, including cleaning his toilet and shower, while others do his laundry and give him massages. Inmates have sold him the antidepressant drug Remeron, per the outlet. He has also obtained a stash of premium liquor that he often drinks on the weekends, the source told PEOPLE.

The Bureau of Prisons would not confirm whether Combs is in solitary confinement, saying in a statement, “For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not comment on the conditions of confinement for any incarcerated individual, including whether a particular individual is the subject of allegations, investigations, or sanctions.”

In a statement to PEOPLE, Combs’s spokesperson Juda Engelmayer said: “There is something odd about all of this. Someone was apparently able to record Sean inside the prison, and numerous stories continue to emerge from inside the facility in real time. Yet the focus inevitably lands on the celebrity because he is the person everyone recognizes.”

Engelmayer added: “There are legitimate questions about how recordings and information are making their way out of a federal prison in the first place. Focusing almost exclusively on the famous inmate may make the easiest headline, but it overlooks the broader question of how this material is being obtained and circulated.”

Combs is currently serving time after he was convicted in July 2025 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of more serious sex trafficking and racketeering charges following a highly publicized trial in federal court in Manhattan.

He was arrested in September 2024 after he was accused of forcing women to participate in so-called “freak-offs.” The news came after an ongoing investigation into Diddy’s alleged crimes, which included federal agents raiding the rapper’s Los Angeles home in March of that year.

His legal team has appealed his convictions. He is also facing numerous civil lawsuits, but has consistently denied wrongdoing.
