Ball-loving Spaniel looking for forever home

Animal Concern Cumbria said: “While she’s young at heart, Holly is still an older girl who sometimes needs a gentle reminder to take a break and rest.

“She’ll benefit from an owner who can help her balance her enthusiasm with some well-earned downtime.”

Holly’s favourite game is chasing tennis balls, and she could happily play for hours if given the chance.

Despite her age, ‘retirement’ certainly doesn’t mean slowing down for this Springer Spaniel.

The team said Holly is “incredibly friendly and thrives around people”.

She loves having someone to play with, toss her toys, and reward her with treats—though only in moderation, as she is currently a bit overweight.

Holly is vaccinated, microchipped, and due to be neutered soon.

She is best suited to a home with children over the age of six and cannot live with cats.

With positive introductions, she could live with another relaxed, well-socialised dog.

While sociable, she tends to do her own thing around other dogs, making her a good candidate for social walks.

On walks, Holly is strong and does pull on the lead, so she needs an owner who can manage her energy and help her settle into a calmer routine.

With the right structure, support, and a steady supply of tennis balls, Holly promises to be a devoted and affectionate companion.

Anyone who can offer her stability, guidance, and most importantly—plenty of playtime—is encouraged to consider applying to become her new best friend.
